TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

- This is to state that I have known Haddox Sothoron of Front Royal, Virginia, for a number of years and have always found him to be a gentleman.

- Mr. Sothoron made a connection with our Company in the spring of 1934, and worked as a foreman under my personal supervision for two and one-half years. His duties were keeping records according to formula of all whiskies. For the past year and a half Mr. Sothoron has devoted his time to traffic management in connection with the shipping of our whiskies.

- I have found Mr. Sothoron honest, efficient, hard-working, industrious and capable of handling most any job assigned to him and especially figures. He is clean in habits and sober and a very respected citizen in his community.

Very truly yours,
     /s/
J. D. Hardy, Superintendent of Entry
The Calvert Distilling Co
Relay, Maryland
